Overview

Randi Askew is a licensed Texas attorney who practices in the areas of federal and state tax controversy, tax compliance, state and local taxation, employment tax, and corporate tax matters. She advises individuals, businesses, and multinational clients across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, higher education, oil and gas, retail, construction, and manufacturing.

Randi obtained her Juris Doctor from the Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2019 and her Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M. in Taxation) from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2020. She also competed as a collegiate track and field athlete at Concordia University Texas, where she served on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and represented student athletes at NCAA conferences.

With more than five years of experience, Randi has handled complex federal and state tax matters involving tax controversy, multistate tax issues, employment tax, residency issues, and risk mitigation. She is experienced in researching and resolving technical tax matters, preparing memoranda and client communications, and translating complicated tax concepts into practical business guidance.

Randi is known for her practical approach, strong advocacy, and genuine care for people. She believes tax representation should combine technical excellence with compassion and clear communication, and she strives to be the heart the IRS needs during difficult moments for taxpayers.

Randi lives and works in Houston. Outside of her legal practice, she enjoys spending time with her nephew, coaching youth track and field athletes, and continuing to compete in sprinting events herself. She has been involved in track and field since the age of ten and enjoys competition in all forms, including flag football and other athletic activities.
